TOWIE's Lucy Mecklenburgh shares heartbreak over son Roman’s health setback

The Only Way Is Essex star Lucy Mecklenburgh has revealed her trauma after a health scare left her young son needing daily medication and an inhaler.

The ex-reality TV favourite, 30, faced two-year-old Roman being rushed into hospital last year after he was found "blue in his cot" READ MORE: TOWIE's Lucy Mecklenburgh gives birth to second child with Corrie star Ryan Thomas She told followers on Instagram Stories that the toddler was placed on a ventilator in intensive care, and earlier this year was diagnosed with a condition that caused fluids he drank to get into his lungs.

The toddler underwent a videofluroscopy, an X-ray taken as a patient consumes fluid and now needs a special thickener instead of thin liquids to combat the problem.

Lucy shared a snap of her son's medication and inhaler and said: "After a really positive few months with Roman have a diagnosis & on the thickened fluids."She added: "He has a little wheeze & cough so we are back here it's still a win if we don't end up in a&e." Earlier this year the star, who shares Roman with fiance Ryan Thomas, 37, reportedly said of her son's attendance at hospital: “It was to check that there wasn’t any fluid when he drinks going down the wrong way and into his lungs."I honestly thought that it wasn’t going to show that, so I kept my days’ work in and he went with Ryan.
