Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

mirror.co.ukDozens of Tory MPs have written to Boris Johnson warning him not to leave the north in “indefinite lockdown”. The Conservatives in northern English seats sent the grim warning shot as MPs approve a month-long shutdown from midnight.
MPs overwhelmingly backed the ban on pubs, hairdressers, gatherings and non-essential travel despite 34 Tory rebels. But around 30 northern Tory MPs - who are separate to the rebels - warned what will happen when the lockdown ends.
Boris Johnson has said he wants it to end on December 2, but has not ruled out trying to extend it. And the PM has admitted some areas could go straight back into Tier 3 restrictions when lockdown does come to a close.
