Joe Exotic’s current prison sentence has been vacated by a judge in Oklahoma, but the Tiger King star is to stay in prison and be resentenced.

The 58-year-old was originally convicted in 2019 in a murder-for-hire plot and was sentenced to 22 years in prison in 2020. The former zookeeper, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, was found guilty of trying to have someone kill animal rights activist Carole Baskin and was also charged for crimes against animals.

Authorities say that from July 2016 Joe repeatedly attempted to hire people to murder Carole, with one person he approached being an undercover FBI agent.
