Three men arrested on suspicion of murder after an "unexplained" death at a landmark Salford tower block have been released under investigation.
But further tests are to be carried out to try and establish how the man died. At around 10.30pm on Friday June 17 emergency services descended upon Briar Hill Court, following concerning reports about a man who was unconscious.
Despite being rushed to hospital, the man died a short time later. He has yet to be identified. In a statement issued today to the Manchester Evening News, Greater Manchester Police said: "A post mortem has been done but we are now waiting for toxicology results to confirm cause of death.
The three arrested have been released under investigation."
