Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced the initiative during his July mini-Budget revealing it could also create around 100,000 jobs.He said the scheme will give over 600,000 homeowners in England vouchers to install insulation, heat pumps and draft proofing.
It will also help cut energy bill prices as Brits now prepare for the colder seasons.In total, the Government estimates the measures could save families a whopping £600 a year on gas and electricity.
Business and Energy Secretary Alok Sharma said: "Green home improvements will save people money on their energy bills, help to cut carbon emissions, and create new work for many thousands of builders, plumbers and other.
