An eight-year-old school girl has designed the new climbing wall at a £7 million leisure centre. Move Urmston has been being built for the last few months and is due to open later this month, but the new clip and climb wall was unveiled to a handful of school children before the official opening.
Year 4 pupil Catriona Ledger, from St Anne’s CE Primary School in Sale, won a competition to design the wall and she and her school friends were the first to set foot in the new Move Urmston leisure centre and try out the new wall for themselves.
There are 12 individual clip and climb routes on the wall which Catriona designed herself. Trafford Council leader, Coun Andrew Western, unveiled her winning designs and presented Catriona with a framed
