Phillip Schofield has shared a health update after testing positive for coronavirus. The 59-year-old presenter confirmed he had caught Covid on Monday evening after hosting This Morning alongside Rochelle Humes earlier that day.He was replaced by Alison Hammond on Tuesday's show (February 1), with Alison joining Rochelle and saying: "I didn't expect this."The pair spoke to Phil via video-link at the start of the programme where he held up a positive lateral flow test and provided a quick health update.Speaking from his London home, Phil said: "I'm fine."I don't even have a sore throat now.

I've sneezed twice and that's it. I've got a slight temperature but that's about it."Phil plunged two ITV shows, This Morning and Dancing on Ice, into chaos with his positive Covid test on Monday evening. The former West End star had been set to host several more episodes of This Morning this week, alongside Dancing on Ice on Sunday night. While he has been replaced by Alison Hammond on This Morning, Phil revealed during his chat with Alison and Rochelle that his Dancing on Ice fate remains unknown. He added: "We're a little bit worried about Dancing on Ice because I'm cutting it a bit fine for Sunday."The current medical guidance for coronavirus in the UK currently recommends sufferers self-isolate for a minimum of five days following a positive test.To enable themselves to leave isolation after the five-day minimum, a negative lateral flow reading on days five and six of self-isolation is required.Dancing on Ice has yet to confirm whether it has plans to replace Phil with another presenter during this weekend's episode in the event that he is not eligible.
