On Wednesday, co-star Jon Huertas, who plays Miguel Rivas on the show, shared the unfortunate update about the impact of the coronavirus on NBC’s series while on a call with California Governor Gavin Newsom. “I was just on the phone with [creator] Dan Fogelman, and we were talking about, you know, we may not go into production until January, depending on whether or not there’s a second wave,” he said in a conversation with industry leaders in California, where officials are gearing up to issue new guidelines for filming.
