The drama unfolded on Turnbull Road, just off Slade Lane, shorty before 2am in the early hours of Friday. A 25 year-old man was stabbed following a 'disturbance' at a house and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Police say his injuries are not believed to be serious. Residents living on the street have now described seeing people running, shouting, screaming and pushing each other before the man was left lying stricken in the street.
