BBC Radio 1 is set for a major presenter reshuffle as Mollie King, one half of the afternoon show duo with Matt Edmonson, prepares to go on maternity leave.The Saturdays singer, who announced her pregnancy in August, will officially step down from her role next month.Taking over her spot will be Jeremiah Asiamah, whose first show alongside Matt is scheduled for Monday, December 2.The 26 year old expressed his excitement and nerves about the new role on social media, writing: "I'm covering the one of the biggest show on Radio 1 for the next few months with the homie @matthewedmondson." Amid the excitement, he also admitted the nerves were already getting to him, adding: "I'm sick to my stomach with nerves. If you know me, my goal in life is to make at least one person smile and laugh.

"Dad, we love you with all our hearts and we will miss you every single day."You have been our hero and it's impossible to think of our lives without you."Mollie added poignantly: "You have always been there for us with every step we've taken and you even held on a few extra days to meet baby Annabella."You gave us your everything. You will be in our hearts and our memories every single day."Her former Saturdays bandmate Frankie Bridge - who last week shared her secret eating disorder heartache for the first time on the same app - offered her condolences and told Mollie she loved her.Meanwhile, Matt Edmonson, who is a co-host on BBC Radio 1, exclaimed: "Oh Molly, I'm am so sorry to hear this news.Thinking of you and sending all my love to you, and all your family."Fellow radio colleague Clara Amfo added: "Infinite love Mollie, so glad he got to meet your girl."Meanwhile, TV presenters TV presenters Zoe Ball, Laura Whitmore and Gethin Jones also expressed their sorrow after she shared a series of snaps of herself and her father.In one, he clutched a balloon declaring him the "world's best dad", while in another he and Mollie danced together at an event, warm smiles on their faces.The montage of memories also attracted the sympathy of This Morning star Ruth Langsford - the wife of GB News' Eamonn Holmes - and she reached out with her own kind words."Oh darling Mollie…I am so, so sorry to hear about your darling Dad passing," she exclaimed."Sending you and your family so much love.
