The latest advice for pregnant women amid increasing numbers of coronavirus cases in the UK has been shared by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
The guidance comes as figures have jumped by 46 in the last 24 hours - bringing the total number of cases in the UK to 319. A fifth death of a person diagnosed with coronavirus in the UK was also announced on Monday evening.
The patient was in their 70s and had long-term health problems. While the college has confirmed pregnant women do not appear to be more susceptible to the consequences of coronavirus than the general population, they have said special consideration should be given to pregnant women with concomitant medical illnesses until evidence provides clearer
