A ‘significant and well-equipped’ cannabis farm containing more than 160 plants has been discovered hidden in a barn at a rural farmhouse.
The illegal business was found after police raided Hampsons Farm on Coal Pit Road in Bolton at 9am on Monday. Officers say the electricity used to power the site was being diverted from the main power supply to the farmhouse.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing as police try to gather evidence that might identify those responsible for the cannabis farm.
