Contestant Mark, who had wowed in the cashbuilder round after winning £9,000 for the team, had been asked what ingredient the German word "knoblauch" was.
He correctly answered that it was garlic over sausage or cheese. Anne had also answered correctly, remarking: "I think the German for cheese is käse."
