The first trailer for Netflix's Ryan Murphy-produced adaptation of the hit Broadway show The Boys in the Band has arrived. The 2018 production, which was also produced by Murphy and featured a history-making ensemble of openly gay actors, was the winner of the 2019 Tony Award for best revival of a play.
It's original ensemble — Jim Parsons,Zachary Quinto,Matt Bomer, Andrew Rannells, Charlie Carver, Robin DeJesús, Brian Hutchison, Michael Benjamin Washington, and Tuc Watkins — have returned for a new performance directed byJoe Mantello.
Set in 1968 New York City, The Boys in the Band centers on a group of friends who have come together to celebrate the birthday of Michael's friend Harold (Quinto).
