Terrifying arsenal of UK's deadly nukes stored on Scottish coast after convoy spotted

Only last week (March 20) a military convoy was filmed moving “up to six” nuclear warheads across the country with motorists completely clueless as to what was inside the trucks.
The unmarked procession was tracked near Glasgow on the final stretch of its journey from the Atomic Weapons Establishment in Aldermaston to the Royal Naval Armaments Depot in Coulport in the secluded coastal region of Argyll.
Located smack back in the middle of Scotland's rugged coastline, the Royal Naval Armaments Depot sticks out like a sore thumb.The sprawling facility is heavily guarded at all times and consists of sixteen nuclear weapon storage bunkers, built into a ridge.Trident missile warheads and conventional torpedoes are stored at the weapons depot, where they are installed and removed from submarines from the nearby Faslane Naval Base.Each Trident missile is estimated to be eight times as destructive as the Hiroshima bomb which killed over 140,000 civilians in 1945.The site is just 35 miles from Glasgow and as you might expect many locals are not too impressed with its usage.BirminghamLive reports that a survey by YouGov found that the majority of Scots do not want nuclear weapons in their nation and it is opposed by the Scottish Parliament's ruling party, the SNP.When the missiles aren't being stored at the base they're put to work (thankfully not literally) onboard the UK's top-secret nuclear submarines which are on constant patrol in the deepest recesses of the sea.
