Jamie T has teased the arrival of some new music alongside news of a 15th anniversary reissue of his seminal debut, ‘Panic Prevention’.The South London musician’s critically acclaimed first LP was originally released on January 29, 2007, and was hugely influential on the UK scene, mixing punk, hardcore, rap, and indie; cutting the tracks up with a variety of iconic samples.Taking to social media earlier today (January 21), Jamie T (real name Jamie Treays) announced that an anniversary edition of the LP will be available from January 28 on limited 12-inch and double CD.“I’ve just had an email from my manager, I’m just going to read it out to you. ‘For the announcement, you need to say – obviously in your own words – that the 29th of January will be the 15th anniversary of ‘Panic Prevention’.

My Bloody Valentine has criticised Spotify for showing incorrect lyrics on the shoegaze pioneers’ songs on the platform.Spotify launched its lyric feature for all users in November of 2021, allowing fans to read along to lyrics while they listened to a song.“Just noticed that Spotify has put fake lyrics up for our songs without our knowledge. These lyrics are actually completely incorrect and insulting,” the band tweeted.

Their latest LP is the second in a series of five, each chronicling Bazan’s past homes.This time, the frontman traveled to the namesake city in Arizona to revisit the sites – junior high campus, a “magical” skating rink, the lake – that populate his memories from seventh grade and evoke feelings long suppressed.“An intersection I hadn’t remembered for 30 years would trigger a flood of hidden memories,” Bazan said in a press release.

Melody’s Echo Chamber has shared details of her forthcoming third album ‘Emotional Eternal’, as well as a music video for first single.‘Looking Backward’ is the first taste of new music from the French musician – AKA Melody Prochet – since her 2018 record ‘Bon Voyage’, and is accompanied by a CGI-animated video made by the artist in collaboration with Unreal Engine specialist 3D artist Hyoyon Paik (Chlöe).Prochet described the dreamy new track as “a vivid, nonchalant, poetic march to the Unknown”, adding: “I wrote the lyrics on my way to Stockholm, in transit at the airport, there was a man creating light reflections with his watch and playing with light on the floors and walls.“It felt like an act coming from a source of pure creativity, it made me happy to catch it and inspired me to write the song.”Watch the artist ride a leopard, float with butterflies and soar through the sky in the video for ‘Looking Backward’ below:Speaking on the new album, due out April 29 via Domino and available to pre-order here, Prochet said: “I hope the record has that uplifting quality. Holly Humberstone has released a brand new single called ‘London Is Lonely’ – you can listen to the heartbreaking number below.After teasing it earlier in the month, the 21-year-old singer-songwriter has now released the poignant track in full, which documents the story of moving to London and feeling disconnected and isolated.“I wrote ‘London Is Lonely’ back in February 2020 right before the pandemic hit here in the UK,” Humberstone said of the song. “I had just moved out of my childhood home down to London and had spent the past few months feeling really trapped and alone in my tiny flat with strangers.

Radiohead side project The Smile have confirmed details of a ticket ballot for fans from around the world for their upcoming London shows at Magazine.The group – comprising Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood, plus Sons Of Kemet’s Tom Skinner – announced the three live shows earlier this month (January 5), due to take place across January 29 and January 30.The trio said in a press release: “We have been overwhelmed with how quickly the three shows on 29th & 30th sold out. Miles Kane has revealed that he and Lana Del Rey have an album’s worth of unreleased material together.Speaking in a new interview, Kane – who releases his fourth solo album, ‘Change The Show’ on Friday (January 21) – discussed his creative partnership with Del Rey, who co-wrote his 2018 track, ‘Loaded’, and he returned the favour on last year’s ‘Dealer’, which he also added vocals to.The Last Shadow Puppets musician told Far Out that both songs came from the same recording session, and that there’s a lot more music they did together that hasn’t been released yet.“We did so many songs,” Kane revealed. “I think I was sorting flirting about putting it on an album, then she was, and then I got a call a few months back where she said she wanted to stick [‘Dealer’] out.”Kane continued: “That was the one song from the demo’s we did that had something really special, and it’s so real.
