Noel Gallagher has revealed that he needed stitches after being accidentally headbutted by Manchester City player Rúben Dias’ father during the team’s title celebrations yesterday (May 22).City won the Premier League title in dramatic circumstances yesterday, coming from 2-0 behind in five minutes to beat Aston Villa 3-2 and get the win needed to beat Liverpool to the title.As Gallagher revealed to TalkSPORT in an interview this morning (May 23), the Oasis man was seated next to the players’ families for the game at the Etihad Stadium, and “absolute bedlam” broke out when German midfielder Ilkay Gündoğan scored the winning goal.He said: “As the third goal goes in, right, there is absolute bedlam. As you can imagine, in the stadium where we sit, Rúben Dias’s family are in the box, a couple of boxes up.“So I’m jumping around like an idiot, passing my 11-year-old son around like the Premier League trophy, everyone is lifting him up, and I turn around and Rúben Dias’ dad runs straight into me – headbutts me while I’m on the floor covered in blood.”Gallagher went on: “I don’t see the last two minutes – I’ve got to get taken down by the St John Ambulance and had to get stitched up.

The Libertines are set to reissue their debut single ‘What A Waster’ to celebrate its 20th anniversary.Originally released in June 2002, ‘What A Waster’ was produced by Bernard Butler and included the song ‘I Get Along’ as the B-side.‘What A Waster’ is now set to be re-pressed on black vinyl as a 7″ single to celebrate its 20th anniversary, where it will once again be joined by ‘I Get Along’ on the B-side.

Party Dozen have shared the official video for their latest single, ‘Macca The Mutt’, which features guest vocals from Nick Cave.Released today (May 23), the clip features shots of Party Dozen destroying cars in a yard, interspersed with clips of them performing live in a dingy warehouse, in front of cars being crushed, from the back of a truck, and in more assorted settings.Cave isn’t seen up close in the video, though it’s possible he appears as one of the faceless characters shown throughout. Morrissey has said that songs from his long-mooted fourteenth solo album ‘Bonfire Of Teenagers’ will be given their debut at a Las Vegas residency.A post on his website said: “The Morrissey concerts in Las Vegas in July will showcase songs from the album ‘Bonfire Of Teenagers’, which was recorded in January 2021.”A statement from the former Smiths frontman himself added: “The thrill of this album was the speed under which it was recorded. Considering the knots of grief I had experience [sic] at the time, it made ‘Bonfire’ an incredible achievement for me.”Morrissey will play a residency titled ‘Viva Moz Vegas’ at the The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on July 1, 2, 6, 7, and 9.

The Strokes have announced an intimate gig in Chicago set to take place later this month, in support of congressional candidate Kina Collins.Collins is running for Congress in the upcoming primaries, which take place on June 28, representing Illinois’ 7th District.The Strokes will hold a special show at the 1,100-capacity venue Metro on May 30, marking the first time in 20 years that the band has performed at the venue.
