As the government cracks down on road safety, new laws will be introduced banning drivers from scrolling through playlists on handheld devices.
The Department for Transport (DfT) has announced it is planning to strengthen laws from next year to make it easier to prosecute drivers using and holding their phones while behind the wheel.
Currently, drivers are banned under UK law from texting or making a phone call while using a handheld device - the only exception is in an emergency.
