Melissa, from Lenzie, East Dumbartonshire, made headlines all over the world alongside Michaella McCollum from Dungannon in Northern Ireland, when they were sentenced to almost seven years in jail.

Michaella will explain how they wound up in one of the most notorious prisons in the world after trying to smuggle 11kg of cocaine out of Peru’s capital, Lima.

Audiences will be taken on a five episode journey in the BBC Documentary Series High: Confessions of an Ibiza Drug Mule, where Michaella will describe how she went from being on her first holiday in a foreign country, to meeting Melissa and finding herself in jail, the Sun.
