Netflix cancels comedy series Blockbuster after just one season over lackluster ratings
Netflix will not renew its comedy series Blockbuster for a second season after a poor initial viewing hour performance.According to Deadline, Netflix rates its shows by the number of hours watched, and after the show launched on November 3, executives were less than impressed.This is not surprising, considering it is a comedy, with episodes running about half the length of a standard drama series.The series followed star Randall Park as he managed the (fictional) final Blockbuster Video rental store in the US.
