Councillor David Meller says the hospital is vital to addressing long-standing health inequalities in the borough and called on Mr Mishra to give the project his full backing.
He believes the MP’s ‘detailed list of questions and concerns’ to council and hospital bosses focuses on the wrong priorities, rather than tackling issues such as lower life expectancy ‘head on’.
