Brooklands, just north of Crocketford and The Limes, Kirkcudbright are opening under Scotland’s Garden Scheme this weekend.
At Brooklands the timing could not be better as their collection of long established rhododendrons and azaleas are now in flower.
They form part of a rich tapestry in the woodland areas where there is an understory of ferns, bluebells, wild flowers and woodland perennials.
Set against the emerging foliage of the trees and the wider views of the surrounding countryside, it is an ideal time to visit.
