The beloved 1987 film The Princess Bride is getting a quarantine-style reboot for the new streaming service Quibi. Starting on June 29, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas – plus a star-studded cast of players – will begin releasing chapters of the movie remake everyday for two weeks.
According to The New York Post, Juno director Jason Reitman is at the helm of this project after staging live readings of The Princess Bride script.
Each cast member filmed their specific scenes of the remake at home using their phones, and the actors trade off roles throughout the film.
This allows each actor to present The Princess Bride in their own unique way. In addition to Turner and Jonas, the cast also includes couples Common and Tiffany Haddish, Neil Patrick.
