Black Pound Day, described as a 'solution-based approach to support the growth of the UK Black economy', is flourishing five months after its initial launch on the 27th of June.
Taking place on the first Saturday of every month, it has inspired other black-owned campaigns such as #IAMBOB, a week-long Twitter campaign, launched by the Daily Mirror and other Reach titles to highlight black-owned businesses up and down the country.
So Solid Crew's Swiss who founded Black Pound Day, said he was 'happy' that a national newspaper was shining a light on Black British entrepreneurs.
The #IAMBOB initiative, which is currently running until Sunday, 8th November, hopes to tell millions of people through Reach PLC’s websites, social media channels
