dailyrecord.co.ukNews : “My brother and I were passing the abandoned building around 8pm on Monday night. “My brother called the fire brigade.“There was a group of youngsters kicking about the area, I wonder if it was them who set the building alight.” A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7.52pm on Monday, November 9, to reports of a building fire on Murray Road, East Kilbride.“Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene, where crews worked to extinguish a fire within a derelict building.“There were no reported casualties.“Firefighters left after making the area safe.”Police Scotland have been contacted for comment..
