Bethesda: "hurry up and finish" the sequel so she can play it before she dies.Shirley Curry, aka Skyrim Grandma, is a popular YouTube personality who shares videos of herself playing through the iconic fantasy RPG.She took to the stage at gaming conference PAX East just months after suffering a stroke to demand a new sequel from Skyrim creators Bethesda. When a fan asked Shirley what words she would have for Bethesda chief Todd Howard if she met him, it's clear she wants one thing only. "How about 'Hi'?" she said. "No, I'd ask him to give me a cool game, and I'd ask him to hurry up and finish Elder Scrolls 6.
I want to play it before I die." Shirley also discussed her process for creating characters in Skyrim, as well as her favourite "weird and creepy" horror games and even her favourite sweets.Shirley often opens her videos by saying "good morning grandkids", and has won fans for her calm manner and focus on the 'beautiful' virtual scenery of the landscapes in the 2011 game.
Shirley has become so popular among Skyrim fans that she can even be added to the game. 'Shirley - A Skyrim follower mod' introduces Shirley to the game as a 'follower' NPC that fights alongside the player. The free mod features Shirley's real voice in game, and proved so popular that Bethesda even vowed to add her to the upcoming Skyrim follow-up.
That's perhaps why she's so keen to play it.Bethesda has kept very quiet on the details of the Elder Scrolls 6. However, it was revealed in November that the game will be an Xbox and PC exclusive, which predictably enraged Playstation gamers.
