Like so many other couples, we put all plans to one side and vowed instead to have a very long engagement. Not that that has put me off dreaming of wedding dresses.
I’ve always known I don’t want something classically romantic and meringue-like but I do want it to be special and beautiful, possibly unexpected.
And what could be more unexpected than a fashion editor doing away with the delicious Emilia Wicksteads and Molly Goddards on her moodboard in favour of a £159 gown she ordered in two clicks from one of the world’s biggest fashion stores?
