Yesterday (Wednesday May 19), the Manchester Evening News reported that the tills now add up how much you've saved as you scan through your products, instead of calculating it all at the end of the transaction.
On the face of it, this seemed like quite a simple, useful and non-controversial update, however it gave a number of shoppers the opportunity to vent about how much they hate self-service.
