Onlookers have told of their shock after a man died after falling into the water at Salford Quays. There was a large-scale emergency services response following the incident at about 11am on Thursday.
Witnesses reported seeing several ambulances, fire engines and police cars at the scene on Onatrio Quay, close to the watersports centre.

Following the incident police were seen taking photos of a mobility scooter, which was later loaded into the back of a police van.
