Princess Eugenie father in law dies days before baby August’s christening

ok.co.ukGeorge Brooksbank, the father of Princess Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank, has died at the age of 72. George reportedly died just days before his grandson August’s christening, which took place on Sunday 21 November at the All Saints Chapel in Windsor Great Park.
It’s believed he had been suffering from covid, and had been ill for some time with the virus. At one stage last year, the late 72 year old had been on a ventilator for five weeks.
Following his poor health and his stint in hospital last year, Eugenie and Jack were reportedly told to “prepare for the worst”.
Jack’s late father was a retired chartered accountant and company director and had two homes - one in south London and one in Bordeaux, France - which he split his time.
