A 34-year-old man is being reported in connection with a road traffic offence after a three-car smash on the A77 in Ayrshire.The crash between the vehicles left a major stretch of the road near Ayr closed off for nearly three hours on Sunday afternoon.Eyewitnesses described a scene of carnage between Holmston and Whitletts roundabouts after the incident around 3.35pm.Emergency services raced to the scene with police locking down the road.Thankfully, no one was injured and the route was fully reopened again around 5.55pm.A 34-year-old man will be reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with a road traffic offence, it has been confirmed today.The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now.Get all the local news in your area – plus
