Manchester City forward Ben Knight is hoping his goal and assist for Crewe on Wednesday will help him break back into their first team following a frustrating spell out injured.
Knight, 19, has been limited to just nine appearances for League One strugglers Crewe, and was making his first start since August in their win over Doncaster in the EFL Trophy this week.
Knight started his first four games after signing on loan, but after missing ten games with a knee injury, he has found it difficult to get back into the Crewe side since returning.
