CHANNEL 4 viewers were moved to tears when during an emotional tribute to late comedian, Sean Lock. The comedian passed away in August last year aged 58 after a long battle with cancer.
His fellow comedians paid tribute to him several times during Saturday night's National Comedy Awards. The Stand Up To Cancer special also included a segment dedicated to remembering Sean, with some of his best mates talking about the impact he had on them.
Harry Hill lead the emotional tribute, heading up on stage to remember his friend. A clip of Sean performing stand-up was shown before a montage of famous comedians including, Bill Bailey and Lee Mack, fondly spoke about their funny friend.
It was also later revealed in the show that Sean had won the award for outstanding male comedy entertainment performance. His win received a standing ovation from the star-studded live audience, which left one fan "crying so much at the Sean Lock tribute at the National Comedy Awards that my left eye has welded together".
