Lorna Slater was last week dubbed by one Tory councillor as "the biggest danger to the north east economy we have seen in a generation" over her party's opposition to the extraction of oil and gas from the North Sea.
It comes as the Greens prepare to open talks with the SNP over the possibility of signing a "cooperation arrangement" between the two parties which could see them team up at Holyrood on key issues - a prospect the Conservatives have already branded a "coalition of chaos".
