Scotland's economy is not expected to return to pre-Covid levels until the start of 2023 with unemployment rising steeply, a bombshell report has warned.A survey by the Scottish Government's chief economist found output has already plumetted by up to a third due to the impact of lockdown - with a fifth of businesses north of the Border pulling down the shutters and furloughing all staff.The number of Scots claiming benefits rose by 67% to 186,000 in April, the most recent figure available.Speaking at her daily media briefing, the First Minister said: "We will continue to do everything possible to support your livelihoods, that's important in the short term, but it's also vital to help lay the groundwork for a sustainable economic.
