One of the SAS heroes of the Iranian Embassy siege has called for a lifeline service which supports homeless veterans to be saved.Eight former soldiers battling post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) face losing their homes because of a funding crisis.The Homeless Veterans Project says it will have to close unless it receives a financial boost, which would help it to continue paying rent.Now, on the 40th anniversary of special forces storming the embassy in London, Rusty Firmin has urged the organisation’s backers to stump up some cash.The group provides temporary accommodation in Dundonald, Ayrshire, for former military personnel who have mental health problems.It faces collapse with only enough funds in the bank to pay the lease agreements
