Inmates at a Scottish jail are making safes to stop their belongings getting stolen from cells.A HM Inspectorate of Prisons for Scotland (HMIPS) report for HMP Glenochil in Clackmannanshire has revealed the in-house security scheme.It details how 750 lock-boxes are needed to stamp out prisoners stealing from each other.While the report claims the safes are being “purchased”, a Scottish Prison Service spokeswoman has insisted they will be made at the facility’s workshop.The review also reveals that a batch of new outdoor coats has been ordered because inmates complained there were not enough of a “reasonable quality and variety of size”.The spokeswoman said: “Some 750 safes are being manufactured in-house via our engineering worksheds,
