Scotland's local lockdown levels set to be confirmed today after crunch talks

lockdown restrictions will be confirmed today after a last minute scramble from councils to avoid tougher measures. Nicola Sturgeon will lay out how the five tiers will apply across the country's 32 local authorities, giving time to prepare for the new rules starting on Monday next week.

Last night, the First Minister appeared to pull back on suggestions North and South Lanarkshire will be placed in the new harsh level four, which would keep pubs shut and restrict non essential shops.
