Schools are set to be given "priority lists" telling leaders which children should be offered spaces as Brits go back to work.

The government has announced that primary schools will not be reopening to more year groups before the summer - but this is a problem to parents whose furlough is coming to an end.

Education Secretary Gavin Williamson was quizzed in Parliament about what support exists for working parents yesterday. Some parents have been told that future leave will have to be unpaid - which isn't an option for most families, the Manchester Evening News reports.
