Everton boss Sam Allardyce has slammed the defending in the Premier League this season. The Toffees were hosting Manchester United on Saturday lunchtime with Goodison Park seeing three goals in the first 45 minutes.
Plenty were criticising the defending for each goal with the standard of stopping a goal having seemingly slipped this season.And Allardyce, who is currently without a job, has also been left unimpressed with defensive ability this season.Jake Humphrey, speaking on BT Sport at half-time, said: “I had a text message during that first half from Sam Allardyce, the former Everton boss, and he said ‘the defending in the Premier League is the worst it has ever been’, and the numbers back him up.
