Wayne Rooney says that there were three clubs who showed a serious interest in prising him from Manchester United. England's all-time record goalscorer also holds that accolade for United, having netted 253 goals in 559 appearances for the club between 2004 and 2017.
But those Old Trafford years weren't without upheaval, and Rooney looked set to leave the club after handing in a transfer request in 2010.
He says that he could have joined Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid after that request went in, but the moves didn't come about in the end.
