Rutherglen care home nurse looks to set up new career - as a dog rescuer

the Reformer : “I began rescuing dogs by complete chance. “I’ve been a nurse for almost three decades, even working abroad in Bermuda and the Channel Islands.“I’ve been a charge nurse, I’ve done residential child care and now I’m an agency nurse looking to fulfil my dream of being a full-time dog rescuer.“I got my dog Buster, in 2015, he’s a half-breed beagle, and I then came across a Facebook rescue group in America.“From there I was able to help people who rescued dogs from the street by getting involved in their fundraising and then it snowballed to me actually taking part in the rescuing process.”Carolyn started her rescue journey in 2017, saving an abandoned dog from the streets of Spain.
