Outraged dad threatened to burn down ex-partner's home in fit of rage on Christmas Day

An outraged thug with a "terrible" history of strangling and attacking his former partner and threatening to burn down her home ignored a court order to leave her alone.

Obsessive Michael Johnson, 32, turned up at his ex's home in the early hours of Christmas Day as he was raging that another man was there.Hull Crown Court heard how he had been repeatedly put behind bars since 2016 for offences involving the woman and had, in the past, left her with a fractured cheekbone and held a knife to her throat, Hull Live reports.

Johnson, of Hull, admitted to breaching a restraining order on Christmas Day. Prosecutor, Charlotte Baines, said that an indefinite restraining order was created on June 17, 2016, prohibiting him from contacting the woman.But, in the latest breach of the order, he was telephoned by his seven-year-old son to say that another man was at her home at about 4.50am on Christmas Day.

The other man damaged a door and police, who had been alerted to that incident, arrived at 5.07am. Johnson put his head out of an upstairs window and told police: "I'm not even here."Police went inside the house and he was arrested.Johnson had convictions for 47 previous offences, involving a history of breaching the restraining order.He had been jailed on June 27, 2016 for two-and-a-half years for assault causing actual bodily harm, assault and four offences of breaching a non-molestation order.He went to the same woman's home and strangled her and bit her ear as well as threatening to burn her house down with her and the son inside.The next day, he repeatedly threatened to burn her house down.Johnson was jailed in July 2017 for a year for dangerous driving and breaching the restraining order.He brandished a kitchen knife and
