Ronny Johnsen believes rejecting Sir Alex Ferguson during the 1995/96 season might have been key to his successful career with Manchester United as it earned respect from the legendary boss.
Johnsen was approached by United over a possible move from Besiktas during the halfway point of the campaign but respectfully rejected their advances as he felt it was unfair to leave the Turkish side at that stage of the season.
