Robin van Persie claims Arsenal failed to offer him a new contract - prompting his controversial transfer to Manchester United.
Van Persie broke hearts in north London when he surrendered the Gunners captaincy and joined Man United for £24million in 2012.
The Dutchman would go on to rub further salt into the wounds of the Arsenal fans as he won his first Premier League trophy in his inaugural season at Old Trafford.
But Van Persie claims it was never his intention to break Arsenal hearts as he wasn't desperate to leave the club. Instead, he alleges it was the Gunners who failed to offer him new terms, effectively making his mind up for him.
