Robin van Persie has opened up on his exit from Arsenal with disagreements with chief executive Ivan Gazidis over plans for the future playing a key role.
Van Persie left the Gunners in 2012 after eight years with the Premier League giants, eventually joining rivals Manchester United.
Van Persie had shone at Arsenal, scoring 96 league goals under Arsene Wenger with 30 of those coming in what proved to be his final season.
But his exit left many Arsenal fans furious with both the striker and the club, though Van Persie has now revealed how a plan he proposed to the club was shot down with his exit following swiftly.
