Legendary former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has ignored Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang when naming his best January signing. The Frenchman was manager of the north London side between 1996 and 2018 and oversaw a total of 126 incoming deals, plenty of which coming in January transfer windows.
Wenger has been open about his time at the club having been forced out to make way for Unai Emery at the end of the 2016/17 season, and has now chosen the player that made the biggest impact having joined in mid-way through the season.
Despite his 10 goals in 13 Premier League outings towards the end of Wenger’s final season at the club, Aubameyang is pushed out of top spot by former Nigeria striker Nwankwo Kanu.
