Road shut as firefighters tackle huge blaze at derelict pub in Wigan

Firefighters have been tackling a large fire at a derelict pub in Wigan. Crews were called to the former Dover Lock Inn, in Warrington Road, Abram, shortly before 2.50pm today (December 10).

Pictures from the scene show several fire engines parked on Warrington Road, near to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. It is the second fire to break out at the pub, which has been closed for several years, in recent days.
