The principal and a senior official of South Lanarkshire College (SLC) have been dramatically suspended from their posts amid a probe into "various complaints."Aileen McKechnie, principal and chief executive, and Brian Keegan, interim clerk to the board, were temporarily removed from their positions after last week's board meeting amid allegations of "bullying, harassment, breaches in governance and behaviour and conduct", and strained relations between staff and the college's board.SLC bosses have said they took the decision to suspend the pair to provide "ongoing good governance and sound leadership" at the college and "positive outcomes for students".The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
