Controversial proposals that would see Bredbury Park Industrial Estate expand into the Tame Valley will go before Stockport council’s planning and highways committee later this week.
The town hall has recommended the panel grants permission for the scheme - claiming its ‘significant economic benefits’ would ‘clearly outweigh the considerable harm caused to the green belt’.
But the scheme was dealt a blow earlier this month when local councilors refused to back it for planning approval, at a meeting of Werneth area
